Black Lives Matter Week - Feb. 1st - 5th
The week of February 1-5 is Black Lives Matter in School Week of Action. The week of action is a time set aside to affirm all black identities by centering black voices, empowering students, and teaching about black experiences beyond slavery. Your students will be engaging in learning and discussion on topics involving critical issues of social justice in their classrooms daily. Many of these topics will be a continuation of the work already being done through our SEL time and topics covered in our curriculum. All the lessons will be anchored to the 13 guiding principles. Your student's classroom teacher will be communicating a more detailed plan for their work. Please feel free to ask them questions along the way.
