Student Meal Sites
The following is a message from the Seattle Council PTSA President.
Attached information on school meal sites is translated in six languages and includes the address and any specific pick up directions. The district is working on a reminder translated phone call to families in each region with the list of schools in that area that will be distributing lunches.
We also want to remind at this point SPS does NOT need volunteers at this side. They are trying to minimize community congregations. Also, please note STUDENTS DO NOT NEED TO BE PRESENT TO GET A MEAL. A parent or caregiver can pick up lunches for the number of kids he/she has at home.
The district is also working on a pilot program whereby bus drivers can deliver the meals along regular bus routes. We will send more information about this and more as we get it.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
In community,
Manuela Slye President, Seattle Council PTSA
