Adams 2020/2021 Multicultural Potluck Cookbook
Hello Adams Community,
We are putting together a multicultural cookbook created by our diverse Adams community and would love your participation.
The inspiration for this project was born from last fall’s multicultural potluck event, which was held prior to Covid-19 and celebrated the diversity of backgrounds at Adams. I would like to take this cookbook as an opportunity to teach the community about all of our countries and cultures, while sharing some amazing recipes!!!
We want this cookbook to include recipes but more importantly to represent the cultures they come from. This will include maps, stories, and art to go with the recipes. The maps will be incorporated into the cookbook and will not need to be supplied by you. We need your stories and art to accompany the provided recipe. To give the cookbook an extra feature we would like to display each recipe in its original language as well as in English (Aramaic & English or Spanish & English, etc). Please provide your recipe in both languages if applicable.
To make this a successful project, we’re looking for you to participate with creativity, culture, and culinary knowledge. To the right is a form for you to fill out to make this process easier. When you submit it in two languages, please fill out the form in each language. Artwork can either be attached to the email or dropped off Monday - Friday from 9:00am to 3p.m. at Adams.
Please feel free to email the form and art or any questions to Christina at christina.werkstaette@gmail.com.
Our goal is to include as many families as possible to celebrate Adams’ diversity. We’re very excited about this project and can’t wait to see what you come up with!
